Ingredients:
Apricot Sauce
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1/4 cup cold water
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Beef Sauce
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
Other Items
1 pound top serloin steak
1 bunch asparagus
1 cup steamed rice
Directions:
Apricot Sauce: In bowl, combine cornstarch, water, soy sauce, salt and red pepper flakes.
Beef Sauce: In bowl, combine cornstarch, salt, pepper and hot pepper sauce.
Preperation: Steam asparagus on stove, cut beef in 1/8 inch thin slices, add to beef sauce bowl and coat. In wok, add a little peanut oil or other oil of choice, add beef and cook on high heat to sear beef on both sides. Remove from wok and set asside. Clean wok with wet paper towel. In wok, cook apricot sauce for a short period to thicken, stiring constantly, add cooked steamed asparagus and cooked beef. Serve on steamed rice.
